Ticket sales for the Berlin concert are available soon.
The concerts in Elbphilharmonie are sold out. We appreciate the great interest in the concerts. Please be aware that some online platforms offer overpriced tickets which are often frauds. Hamburg Elbphilharmonie is also indicating the same.
— The WDO is looking forward to opening the concert with György Ligeti’s Atmosphères, consistently a pathbreaking work.
Also, the WDO is proud to to present international harp soloist Xavier de Maistre in concert.
And due to the amazing success in concerts in Munich and Salzburg in April 2017, WDO will perform again Richard Wagners The Ring without words, masterly arranged by Lorin Maazel as an one-hour symphonic synthesis of the fifteen hours of the Ring of the Nibelung operas.
The proceeds of the Hamburg concerts will be donated to Kroschke Kinderstiftung and the project “Herzbrücke” of Albertinen-Stiftung Hamburg. The proceeds of the concert in Berlin will go to Hugo-Tempelman-Stiftung.
The World Doctors Orchestra (WDO) combines the pleasure of great music with charity. Two to three times a year, a selection of 1.000 physicians from over 50 nations exchange their white coats for evening attire and perform a benefit concert for people in need of healthcare. The proceeds from each concert go to selected non-profit medical aid organizations.
