British Shorts Film Festival, Berlin brings the most exciting, funniest, strangest and most thrilling short films from the home of dirty weather directly to sunny Berlin — drama, comedy, thriller, animation, experimentals, docs, horror, science fiction and music videos straight from the island! For the sixth time the festival presents a summer edition at Freiluftkino Insel im Cassiopeia featuring awarded short films, some of the team’s favourites and other highlights from the last edition of the festival, which took place in January.

Pickle is an ode to man's capacity to care for all creatures throughout their sometimes greatly protracted existence until their occasionally sudden and unfortunate demise. For Pickle US filmmaker Amy Nicholson worked together with the British animation duo The Brothers McLeod. After his multi award winning short drama Beat (starring Ben Whishaw) which also convinced the jury at British Shorts 2015, director Aneil Karia is back with his latest short film. Rhonna & Donna (Comedy)

A night on the road and a lot of black humor: Car driver Kurt is forced to sacrifice a little part of himself. Shortcut was produced as part of the Film4 #FrightBites series. At British Shorts 2016 director Prano Bailey-Bond was nominated for the Jury Award with her short film NASTY.
