KN presents a special evening with Francesca Lisette (Berlin) and Daniel Poppick (New York). Join us for Lisette’s performance, which combines poetry, movement, and sound // Poppick will read selections from his debut collection THE POLICE, published this April. We look forward to seeing you there!
FRANCESCA LISETTE is a poet and artist working with questions of embodiment and utterance, sound and silence, relationality and performance. Their book Teens was published by Mountain Press in 2012. Recent work can be found in Out of Everywhere 2: Linguistically Innovative Poetry by Women (Reality Street, 2015) and online at COVEN Berlin. Francesca has given readings and performances acoss the UK and Europe, and in the USA, and their poems have been translated into German and Czech. Lisette currently lives in Berlin, where she independently studies performance, dance and somatics, and is a student and practitioner of astrology. francesca-lisette.tumblr.com
DANIEL POPPICK's work has been recognized with fellowships from Yaddo, the MacDowell Colony, and the Iowa Writers' Workshop, where he earned his MFA in 2011. A graduate of Kenyon College, he has taught writing and literature at SUNY Purchase College, Coe College, Victoria University (New Zealand), and the University of Iowa.
